Overview

Kiln & Clay is a four-section visit page built around a warm minimal palette drawn directly from the earth: parchment (#faf5ec), pale sand (#efe6d8), dark espresso (#2b2622), muted clay (#6a5d51), and a single terracotta accent (#a8481f) reserved for the final call-to-action band. Every section background alternates between those two neutrals, so the page reads as one coherent surface rather than a stack of disconnected blocks.

The first section opens with a breadcrumb and a split 2-column row. The left column carries the H1 — "Visit the studio" — set in DM Serif Display at 52px with a tight -1px letter-spacing, giving it the quiet authority of a printed card. The right column holds a single descriptive sentence in Work Sans 18px at 1.6em line-height, padded down from the top so the two text blocks sit at complementary optical heights. On mobile the row wraps to a single column and the heading drops to 32px, the descriptor following underneath naturally.

The contact and enquiry section pairs an icon-led contact list on the left with a framed contact form on the right. The contact list uses four divi/group blocks, each separated by a 2px #d6c7b0 top border, with a divi/icon (Font Awesome: envelope, phone, map-pin, clock) aligned to the text label in a row layout at 16px column gap. Labels are uppercase Work Sans at 12px/1px tracking in the muted clay tone; values are 17px in the near-black. The form sits inside a group with 48px padding on all sides and a full 2px solid #2b2622 border — a deliberate box that frames it as a distinct object on the sand background. Fields inherit a #efe6d8 fill with matching 2px dark borders; the submit button inverts on hover from dark fill to sand fill with a terracotta border threading the accent colour back in.

The FAQ section centres a 6-item divi/accordion constrained to 800px max-width, with DM Serif Display 19px titles and Work Sans 16px body copy in the muted clay tone. The accordion container carries the same 2px dark border as the form, keeping both interactive elements visually consistent. The closing CTA section uses the terracotta #a8481f as a full-bleed background — its only appearance as a block fill — and arranges a large white H2 against a "Book a class" button in parchment, flipping to dark on hover. On mobile the flex row shifts to column with left-aligned items.

What’s inside

  • Split intro row: H1 in DM Serif Display 52px paired with a side descriptor, collapsing to a single stacked column on mobile
  • Icon-driven contact list with four bordered rows (email, phone, address, hours) using Font Awesome icons and dual-tone typography
  • Native `divi/contact-form` with three full-width fields (Name, Email, Message), `#efe6d8` field fills, and an inverting dark/parchment submit button
  • Six-item `divi/accordion` FAQ section constrained to 800px, with DM Serif Display question titles and Work Sans answers
  • Full-bleed terracotta CTA band with a large white heading and a hover-inverting parchment button linking to class bookings
  • Four-section responsive layout with explicit tablet and phone padding steps (96/64/44px vertical) on every section
  • Consistent 2px solid `#2b2622` border language applied to the contact form container, input fields, accordion, and buttons for a unified craft-press aesthetic

Who it’s for

This layout fits independent pottery studios, ceramics schools, and craft workshops that want a visit page with genuine utility rather than decorative filler. It works equally well for thrown-pottery retailers with a studio shopfront, bookable wheel-throwing classes, glaze workshops, or any maker-space that receives walk-in visitors and needs to answer the same handful of questions (hours, parking, kids, accessibility) before they arrive. The warm minimal palette and serif-meets-sans type pairing also translate cleanly to weaving studios, woodworking shops, leathercraft ateliers, and similar artisan venues where the brand tone is grounded and tactile rather than slick.

Customization tips

The entire palette lives in three hex values you can find-and-replace across the JSON: #faf5ec (parchment light), #efe6d8 (sand mid), and #a8481f (terracotta accent). Swapping those three re-themes the page completely — try a cooler linen/slate/indigo set for a ceramics studio with a more contemporary brand.

For the contact list, each icon row is an independent divi/group, so you can add or remove contact details (add Instagram, remove phone) without touching the others. Keep label text under 12 characters in the uppercase style — longer labels crowd the 12px uppercase tracking.

The contact form message field is currently a single-line text type; change its type value to textarea in the field block if you need a multi-line input. The form group has 48px padding on all sides at desktop; if you add a heading above the form, reduce the top padding to 32px to avoid too much dead air.

For the CTA section, the H2 "The kettle is always on" sits at 48px; keep replacement copy to one short sentence (under eight words) or the balance wrap will break at tablet widths.

Questions about Kiln & Clay — Minimal Pottery_studio Visit Page for Divi 5

Which modules does this layout use?

It uses `divi/heading`, `divi/text`, `divi/icon`, `divi/group`, `divi/contact-form` with `divi/contact-field`, `divi/accordion` with `divi/accordion-item`, and `divi/button` — all native Divi 5 modules, no third-party dependencies.

How does the layout behave on mobile?

The intro row and the contact/form row both use explicit `flexWrap: wrap` and `flexDirection: column` at the phone breakpoint, stacking left-then-right content vertically. Section padding steps down from 96px to 44px at phone. All heading sizes have explicit phone values (32px, 30px) set directly in the JSON.

What image or media slots does this layout include?

There are no image modules in this layout by design — it is a pure-text contact/visit page. The visual weight comes entirely from typography scale, spacing, and background colour contrast. If you want to add studio photography, insert a `divi/image` module into the left column of the intro section or as a row above the FAQ.

What should I edit first after importing?

Start with the four contact-list text modules: replace the email address, phone number, street address, and opening hours. Then update the accordion items with your own FAQ content and the CTA button URL. The breadcrumb text in the first section ("Home / Visit") is a plain text module — update that link href to match your site's home page.

Can I add more accordion items to the FAQ?

Yes. The accordion is configured without a max-item limit. Duplicate any existing `divi/accordion-item` block inside the `divi/accordion` and update the title and content. The 2px border and toggle colours are set at the accordion parent level and apply automatically to all children.

The contact form uses a unique ID — will it conflict with another form on my site?

The `uniqueId` field in the contact-form block (`c4e8a2b6-7d1f…`) is a per-module identifier Divi uses for form submission routing. Divi regenerates this when you paste the layout into a page, so conflicts are handled automatically. You do not need to edit it manually.

Which Divi version does this layout need?

Divi 5. The layout is generated natively for Divi 5 and validated against its real module structure before publication, so it imports clean into the current builder.

Can I use this layout on client websites?

Yes. Every download includes a commercial license covering unlimited sites you own or build for clients. Only reselling or redistributing the layout file itself is prohibited.
